I have recently discovered Matcha Green Tea while trying to find ways to increase energy levels-the story of my life. The truth is, the stuff tastes terrible. I liked the results. Matcha gave me a smooth energy boost without the jitters like coffee. Matcha also is said to have other benefits like mental clarity, increased immunity and is said to help burn calories. Matcha green tea has been linked to improved heart and brain health, has the highest antioxidant levels of all superfoods, and Matcha contributes to oral health by helping with the reduction of bacterial colonies in the mouth. So then I had to figure out how I was going to choke it down. Really I wanted it to actually taste good. So, I’ve come up with a delicious matcha smoothie with other beneficial ingredients.
Each morning I make a protein smoothie in my Ninja Intelli-Sense Kitchen System https://amzn.to/3QvyOK3 I Thought if Pulp could disguise the Matcha taste, so could I. So, This is my rendition of Matcha and Greens Protein Smoothie:
Matcha and Greens Protein Smoothie
- 1C Fresh Greens
- 1C Oat Milk
- 1 Scoop Of Orgain Vegan Vanilla Protein Powder https://amzn.to/40e623D
- 1Tbsp Bob’s Red Mill Flaxseed Meal https://amzn.to/3tW2wyP
- 1/2 C Frozen fruit (Mango and Pineapple goes best with Matcha)
- 1 Tsp Chamberlain Coffee 100% Matcha powder https://amzn.to/3FzRsKm
I look forward to my smoothie for breakfast every morning! I can barely taste the matcha and I feel good knowing I am doing something good for myself. It is also filling enough to get me until lunch. I have felt the energy effects of the Matcha without the -“afternoon nosedive nap needing wiped out”- feeling I used to get with coffee. I don’t know if I’ve been drinking it long enough to know if the other benefits have kicked in yet!
